EXPENSES for the three members of the Scottish Parliament who live in Argyll and Bute totalled £103,020.65 for the year to end April 2016.
Conservative member Jamie McGrigor and SNP members Michael Russell and Michael MacKenzie were all in the top half of the expenses scale - but served one of the largest geographical areas in Scotland. Jamie McGrigor claimed £33,492.66 - Edinburgh accommodation of £11,389.45, telephone costs of £1,291, travel was £6,544.24 with staff travel at £2,293.12, overnight stay costs were £630.90 and no additional expenses were claimed.
Mike MacKenzie claimed £38,218.11 - Edinburgh accommodation of £12,723.69, telephone costs of £885.62, travel was £9,630.28 while staff travel was £1,407.50, and for overnight stays - mainly in Orkney and Shetland, £2,956.61 was paid and no additional expenses were claimed.
