ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

EVANS - Janet Evans and the family of the late Capt. William H. Evans (Billy) would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our friends, relatives and wonderful neighbours for all their support during his recent illness and also for all their kind expressions of sympathy, cards, Masses, flowers and phone calls, and for their attendance at Billy’s funeral. Thanks especially to those who travelled from afar to be with us at this sad time. A big thank you to Dr Richard Wilson and Dr Fiona MacLennan and all the staff, nurses and district nurses and the marvellous extended community support team -you are amazing; thanks to the superb Macmillan and Marie Curie nurses and the initial care from the staff of Wards A and B in Lorn and Islands Hospital. Thanks also to Fr James McNeil for the dignified and fitting requiem Mass and the Hoeys for the funeral arrangements and burial. We extend our thanks to the Olive Garden for their hospitality and catering. Thanks also for the generous donations made to the Macmillan and Marie Curie cancer support funds (over £500 was raised).
