BONES discovered near a cave on a Hebridean island could belong to the victims of an infamous massacre, according to experts.
It is claimed Eigg’s population of nearly 400 MacDonalds were suffocated to death in 1577 by the MacLeods of Dunvegan and Harris.
Fifty-three bones found last year at Massacre Cave are currently being examined in Edinburgh and could reveal more about the atrocity.
