MSP slams Christmas delivery charges

MSP KATE FORBES has slammed what she describes as Christmas rip-off delivery charges to rural areas.

The MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch is backing a new campaign calling for fairer delivery charges to these communities.

With less than a month to go to Christmas, Ms Forbes said it was ridiculous parts of the Highland mainland were classified as ‘overseas’ by some retailers. It has been reported one company wanted to charge more than £40 extra for taking an item to the other side of the toll-free Skye Bridge.
