Barra defeat Mallaig to win Bowmore Cup


BARRA Football Club will go down in history as the first team to take home Oban’s Bowmore Cup, after beating Mallaig 2-0 in the final.

However, they will have to defend their title next year after it was confirmed that the tournament will be a recurring competition.

Eight teams took part: Mallaig, Kilchoan, Barra, Bowmore, Oban Electrics, Coasters Bar, Oban Earra- Ghaidheal and Oban Saints u17s, with four teams making it through the group stages to the semi-final.
