LOCHBOISDALE – United Auctions held their annual sale of all classes cattle and sheep at Lochboisdale Auction Mart. A mixed entry of grazing cattle and sheep sold well and in keeping with current mainland levels.

Bullocks sold to 265 pence per kilo from 5 Frobost and heifers from 20 Balivanich sold to 238 pence per kilo. Breeding cattle sold well and to a top of £2100 from 348 North Boisdale. Cast cows from 136 Stilligarry sold to £1100.

Principal lots and prices. Top prices per head Bullocks BSx: £600 – 271 Daliburgh. LIMx: £960 – 7 Middlequarter: £900 – 44 Linique: £900 – 5 Frobost: £850 – 5 Dunmore. SHx: £710 and £700 – 20 Balivanich. SIMx: £820 and £740 – 7 Middlequarter. Heifers LIMx: £860 – 348 North Boisdale. SHx: £760 and £750 – 20 Balivanich. SIMx: £800 – 7 Middlequarter. Farrow cows AAx: £960 – 1 Airidhmhuillin. LIMx: £990 and £820 – 261 Daliburgh.
