A GIGHA Primary School pupil has won a top award at Gardening Scotland 2017.
Bailey Bannatyne was this year’s winner of the ‘One Planet Picnic Garden People’s Favourite’ category at the annual gardening event at Ingliston near Edinburgh. The competition is run by Keep Scotland Beautiful and this year celebrates Scotland’s Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology.
Nine-year-old Bailey used the isle of Gigha as her inspiration and created a garden which expressed her love for the island and its beautiful natural heritage.
