THE KILMALLIE Singers start their winter programme tonight, Thursday September 7, at 7.30pm in Kilmallie Church of Scotland Hall, Caol. The evening will begin with a short annual general meeting, followed by a rehearsal for a performance in April 2018. Work will begin on the group’s traditional Christmas Carol concert later this year. New members are welcome. Contact 07936 413309 for further information.

LOCHABER Local History Society will welcome Dr Iain McNicol from Appin to the Alexandra Hotel, Fort William, tonight, Thursday September 7. Dr McNicol will give an illustrated talk on prisoner of war camps in Kinlochleven during the First World War.
