ON the A83 along Loch Fyne lies the striking whitewashed town of Inveraray, built by the 3rd Duke of Argyll in the 1700s. Perched on a hilltop high above, visible from most directions, is the beguiling silhouette of the Dun na Cuaiche watchtower, an early clue to the eclectic nature of the Royal Burgh of Inveraray.
