Smelter firm reveals £170m Laggan wind farm plan

PLANS for a £170 million wind farm on land at Glenshero, near Laggan, have been announced by GFG Alliance, the owner of the aluminium smelter at Fort William.

GFG Alliance this week announced the wind farm, to be developed by its subsidiary SIMEC Energy, will have up to 54 turbines.
