Award aims to boost children’s writing

A NEW writing award, Duais Sgrìobhaidh do Chlann ann an Gàidhlig, has been launched in the Western Isles.

The award, created by Acair Books, An Lanntair and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (Libraries), is aimed at inspiring original Gaelic writing for children.

The award is open to all aspiring writers for children in Scottish Gaelic. The winner will get £500 and have their work published by Acair Books.
