Planning in Argyll and Bute is chaotic

I was pleased to see the coverage given to the hugely important issue of town and country planning in The Oban Times.

However, planning chaos is nothing new in Argyll and Bute. It has been rampant since planning responsibilities were given to the council. And it is one of the things which ensures that Argyll and Bute Council will never win the respect of people whom it exists to serve.

With Argyll and Bute Council, the respect and responsibility have evaporated and the result is what we see all around us. Personally, I am sitting here watching so-called developers systematically exploit and ruin this village. And all with the enthusiastic encouragement of the planning department.
