MPs to probe Highland online delivery charges

MPS ARE to investigate online delivery charges in the Highlands and Islands, where ‘at least a million people in Scotland are subject to higher fees, longer delivery times or even refusal of service’.

A report found people living in the Hebrides can face a 500 per cent mark-up on standard online delivery charges compared to the rest of the UK and can wait up to 35 extra days for delivery, which make it harder for local businesses to compete.
