Lochaber Dinghy Hill Race

Sailing / athletics

ANOTHER successful Lochaber Yacht Club Dinghy Hill Race has taken place.

The course crosses Loch Linnhe from LYC, ascends Meall an t Slammain (467 metres) before returning by the same route. It’s said to be similar to the Meall an t-Suidhe race but with thick heather, and sea water.

First runner back was Nick Sedgewick of LAC in a time of 28:37, a new record. Amanda Blackhall was first lady and first FV 40 in seventh position.
