A car left outside the back of the Perle Hotel has been given multiple parking tickets, causing a significant amount of comment.

Allan Strang Jnr: ‘Has owner been found? has owner been missing. What if that’s the case and they’re just slapping tickets on it every now and again… Why don’t they think and try find owner instead of dishing out tickets.’

Roger Brown: ‘If the car hasn’t moved, it’s a continuous contravention and only the first ticket is payable. There is legal precident for this.’
