AN 11-YEAR-OLD pupil at Dunbeg Primary School has conquered a daunting physical challenge for charity.
Left to right, back row: Mike Dunthorne (director of Boots N Paddles), Chris Muir, Jonny Kermode, Lynn Moir; front: Charis Simpson, Archie the SiMBA bear, Susan Simpson, Louise Mainland and Aileen Thomson.
Charis Simpson, a P7 student, took part in the SiMBA canoe and climb challenge, hiking up Ben Lomond in the muddiest conditions and paddling on Loch Lomond. She was part of a team of seven canoeists and 21 climbers who spent the past weekend raising funds and awareness for the charity, which responds to the needs of those affected by the loss of a baby.
