United Auctions had a catalogued entry of over 2000 lambs and sheep at their first sale at Lochboisdale Auction Mart. A good offering of lambs, mainly long-keeping kinds, sold well and to average £49.77 per head, recording a rise of £6.23 per head on the corresponding sale last year. Heavier weight, tight-coated types recorded a rise of £8 to £10 per head on the year and sold to a top of £73.50 for Suffolk cross from Allt-Na-Feidh, Grogarry.
