Epic marathon takes team all the way round

NINETY coastal miles round Mull, two skiffs, one safety boat and a team of 14 rowers.

Last Thursday afternoon at 5pm two skiffs set off from the Tobermory pontoon to complete the first leg of what was to be a three-and-a-half-day coastal marathon.

The row round Mull is one of many fundraising efforts to raise money to resurface the Dervaig sports pitch. It was inspired by the single-handed row round Mull more than 10 years ago by Nick Turnbull to help fund the original sports pitch.
