Fort spotlight on EU debate

AN ORGANISED debate to discuss Scotland’s future saw participants finding some common ground.

More than 30 people attended the EU Referendum debate in Duncansburgh MacIntosh Parish Church Hall, which was arranged by Lochaber Common Weal, a group of volunteers who aim to educate and inform the public

The lead speakers represented a cross section of the political spectrum, with Kate Forbes MSP (SNP) and John Finnie MSP (Green) for ‘remain’, and environmental author and member of Assemblies for Democracy Penny Cole, and Bob Fotheringham, Socialist Workers Party, representing Lexit, ‘Left for leave’.
