Mental wellbeing among young people is deteriorating, especially for teenage girls or for those who are less affluent. The UK charity YoungMinds reported in 2016 that 850,000 young people aged between five and six teen have mental health problems, and three children in every classroom have a diagnosable mental health disorder. Poor mental wellbeing can be related to unmanaged stress. Stress has many manifestations, and coping with it can lead to risky health-related behaviours.
