Yoga & Aromatherapy

Melissa Oil (Melissa Officinalis)

The end of March sees the clocks go forward once again, giving us more daylight and an extra spring in our step. To celebrate the return of the light, use Melissa oil (Melissa officinalis).

Melissa is a beautifully uplifting oil and helps lift us out of a dark place and back into light and hope. It will certainly help those who have been struggling with the winter blues. It will lift you up and give you a fresh outlook, so is the perfect essential oil to help you leave winter behind and flow into spring. Add a couple of drops to your bath at night with a little carrier oil to lift your spirit and soothe your worries. Alternatively, a couple of drops in a diffuser in your bedroom will help comfort you and ease you into a restful sleep. Only use a couple of drops as it is very concentrated.
