Concious Parent
I was attending a conference in London years ago, and half way through the day we were introduced to a man called Sir Anthony Seldon. Up to this point, we had heard talks from wonderful yogis, calm meditators, teachers and even a monk dr essed in or ange (or at least that’s how I remember him). The atmosphere was relaxed. The topics explored the benefit of yoga and mindfulness in schools. Once Sir Anthony was introduced, he walked onto the stage in a slow and gentle silence, with more grace than I have ever seen in a man. The entire auditorium became stil l. He wor e a sharp, wel l-fitted suit, a crisp white collared shirt without a tie and perfectly chosen shoes. He arrived at the centre of the stage, and simply stood there. His body was relaxed, yet alert, his eyes shone brightl y. His silence fill ed the space, but even more electric was his presence.
