Organists' Review  |  September 2018
In the last issue we published the results of the readership survey which suggested that people wanted to read about organists as well as about organs (understandable considering our title). We haven’t featured many of the latter recently so we took the opportunity to resolve that in this issue. We are therefore featuring Jeanne Demessieux, Leo Sowerby and Francis Grier. The first is one of the many who left this planet too soon whereas Leo Sowerby lived a full and respected life, and thankfully Francis Grier is still very much with us!
Our other lead article has been written by Peter King. He gave a thought-provoking talk as part of the IAO South West Organ Day. We have taken the opportunity to reproduce it here in full.
