OUTBACK Magazine  |  OUTBACK 108
The August/September 2016 issue of R.M.Williams OUTBACK shines a light on our outback boomerangers – those people who grew up in the bush, have left to pursue education, careers and for other reasons, and who return to their home communities, bringing new perspectives back with them. While many rural areas have been experiencing population loss overall, a statistic that isn’t widely reported is that people in their thirties and forties often return to the bush to settle down. In fact, more Australians aged 25–44 are moving out of cities to regional areas than vice versa. Many of these are returners. Also in this issue are our favourite pages of Dogs, Boots, Bush weddings, Pubs, Bush kids, and even Cakes.
