With the risk of infection for COVID-19 believed to be significantly less in outdoor spaces, as lockdown measures have gradually eased across the UK, many open water venues have been able to re-open their doors.
Unlike indoor pools and lidos, which have been forced to remain closed, open water venues have benefited from being one of the first customer-facing businesses to be allowed to re-open during the pandemic.
The first operated venues in the UK were able to re-open from as early as mid-May, but with strict social-distancing and safety measures in palce to help limit the spread of the coronavirus.
