You’d be hard-pressed to get too excited about Brother’s MFC-J4550DW. It’s a boxy inkjet multifunction peripheral, all hard black plastics and jutting out surfaces. Only the neat and uncluttered control panel with its 6.8cm colour touchscreen adds a touch of class. However, it’s a well specified device, offering print, scan, copy and fax functions, together with dual paper trays and a 20-sheet automatic document feeder. It also supports both wired and wireless networks.
