Use sharp shadows and highlight flare for better shots
Y ou can, of course, forget about trying to fight the dynamic range and instead embrace the qualities of summer light. By basing your exposure on the brighter parts of a scene, you can turn the hard shadows into solid black shapes that can add drama to a composition.
