Taylor-made news
Oscar Taylor-Kent’s news slap
Sony had a quiet CES in January – the event was all-digital – but the Big S did at least shed some light on the games we can expect this year. This was unusual as publishers like to treat release dates like people collect Funko Pops; we know it happens but nobody talks about it.
Sony confirmed Horizon Forbidden West and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be released in 2021. More precise dates were given for Kena: Bridge Of Spirits, releasing in March (as you would have read in OPM #184), Little Devil Inside, out in July, and Solar Ash and Tokyo: Ghostwire in October. And surprisingly PS5’s Project Athia is coming in 2022, and Pragmata in 2023.
Then we had the kicker. Sony rereleased its CES video and omitted all of those dates. It seems someone forgot the number one rule: we don’t talk about game release dates. Too late.
