“I thought I’d be living the dream!”

Our award-winning coach, Kim Morgan, gives advice to one woman who has made a big life change but is struggling to find fulfilment from it

1 “I can’t decide whether I should stick with this decision or return to my old life”

The first coaching session I had with Vicky* was dicult. She was angry, despondent and sceptical about whether coaching would work. Vicky told me her story. She’d had a successful career in banking and all the trappings of success. Although she’d been married, Vicky had always had a sense that it was a marriage of convenience for both of them. Feeling unfulfilled, she had booked onto a personal-development weekend two years ago and had resolved to turn her life around. Vicky had made some big changes quickly. She had decided to buy some cottages and set up a holiday lettings business and relocate to Cornwall. Her marriage had broken down when her husband announced that he did not want to live Vicky’s dream and would rather live his own!
