When there’s a nip in the air, our bodies crave warm, nourishing comfort food at the end of the day. Slow cookers come into their own at this time of year – prepare a curry, soup or stew in the morning and be greeted by the delicious smell of your dinner all ready and waiting when you get home. Or, take time on the weekends when you’re not rushing around to prepare a roast dinner to share with loved ones.
Make the most of seasonal veg: be creative with pumpkins and squashes (think curry and soup), pears and plums (perfect autumnal crumble) and warming spices – ginger, cardamom and cinnamon – to make a hot, milky drink a bit special.
