Chadwick Ginther brings urban fantasy to the Prairies


CHADWICK GINTHER sits on t he cracked steps of a mausoleum in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The 43-year-old urban-fantasy novelist used to walk past this Winnipeg graveyard at 3 a.m.after a night out with friends, noting how dark the cemetery got at night in the quiet residential neighbourhood and how the gates are closed each evening. “The fantasy writer in me looks at things like that from a different point of view,” he says. “What is the gate keeping in?”
