The Joy of Figure Models
Figures are a particularly fascinating side of the hobby and can add much interest to a vehicle; when photographed the notion of scale is easily represented and then the imagination becomes the only limit with such ideas as dogs chasing vehicles filled with German soldiers, ornate Knights on horseback, soldiers reading their Dear John letters, farmers capturing downed airmen – the list is endless and the results are wondrous…

A Czech Dingo
Tim Upson-Smith gives a ‘parade finish’ to the Revell 1:35 ATF GE A2 PatSi kit

Airbrush Armour

Jan-Willem Fischer shows you how add a weathered finish to an Italeri 1:35 Shipping Container

Dragon’s Elefant
Adrian Eade guides you through building the 1:35 Sd.Kfz.184

Dio-Armour
End of Empire
This is my second diorama set in the Pacific Theatre, and unlike my previous article in SMMI Issue #507 this is a very calm scene, and shows a pair of US Marines looking over a devastated battlefield. As they pass a destroyed bunker they are faced with one of the true horrors of war - a destroyed Japanese Type-97 and its unfortunate crew.
