PERFECT PARTRIDGES AT COLD ASTON IN THE COTSWOLDS
Situated just outside of Bourtonon-the-Water in the stunning Cotswold countryside, Cold Aston is one of those rare shoots that manage to blend fantastic formal driven partridge shooting with a relaxed and informal manner: a tricky combination. Oliver Cope has just started his eighth
season as headkeeper. He originally arrived at Cold Aston to work for a small
syndicate but after the fi rst season his boss fell ill and had to retire. It was then that the current owner Ean Branston stepped in and gave Olly full responsibility for running the shoot, which not only includes all the traditional gamekeeper duties but also the booking and organising of the shoot days.
