make your own Lip Blam

Lottie Storey shows us how to create a nourishing, beeswax-free balm to stave off chapped lips in cold weather
Makes a lovely Christmas gift

Going vegan means checking the ingredients of anything you put on your lips as well as in your mouth. Lip balm is often made using beeswax which, like honey, is not compatible with crueltyfree living. Beeswax is made by worker bees to build honeycomb cells – homes for their young – and to cap honey and pollen cells. Its use in beauty products is on the up, as it’s a natural way to moisturise and add shine.
