Barash is professor of psychology emeritus at the University of Washington; his most recent book is Through a Glass Brightly: Using Science to See Our Species as it Really Is, forthcoming from Oxford University Press. With his wife, Judith Eve Lipton, he is currently writing a book about nuclear deterrence.

Dr. Todd M Freeberg is a Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is a behavioral ecologist who studies social behavior and communication.
