FIRST TEST BOWERS & WILKINS PANORAMA 3
Over the hills and bar away
With a whopping 13 drivers and B&W’s extensive cinematic knowhow, can the British brand’s latest soundbar scale the heights of Dolby Atmos?
[ Words Simon Lucas ]
For a company with such obvious prestige where speakers and headphones are concerned, Bowers & Wilkins has so far been weirdly unable to produce a soundbar that enhances its reputation.
B&W will be hoping it’s third time lucky with its latest effort, the Panorama 3, which uses two actual, physical Dolby Atmos elevation speakers that are carefully angled to reflect sound off your ceiling and create that all-important sensation of sonic height. You can just about see them beneath the perforated top grille if you squint.
