Celtic knot quite good enough
TRIQUETA
Designer: Stefan Dorra | Publisher: Deep Print Games
The triquetra is an ancient symbol, roughly triangular in shape and composed of three pointed loops. Its use on stone carvings dates back to the fourth century BC, with its pagan meaning believed to represent the three stages of life; youth, adulthood, and old age. Later, the symbol was coopted by Christianity to conveniently represent the holy trinity, whilst today it has come to represent any number of things within the Celtic Neopaganism movement. Whatever its mysterious ancient meaning was, though, it’s likely that its vanguards never expected it to tenuously inspire a board game hundreds of years in the future. Nevertheless, here we are with an abstract set-collector for two to five players.
