Our feature article in this edition is of the alien looking, absolutely exquisite Ribbon Eel. This species is perfect for the avid predator keeper and would provide something to talk about to anyone who gets to gaze within the aquarium that it dwells.

Besides good water quality, one of the biggest musts in fishkeeping, is providing the animal in your care with the best possible nutrition possible. Quality foods and a variety of it is essential to the well-being of any fish species. Straying from this can lead to multiple types of deficienfies within a fish, which in turn results in certain ailments and a compromised immune system making the fish all that more susceptible to disease.

Glofish have received alot of criticism since there creation, which originally was for helping in testing water quality. Inevitably they have ended up within the fishkeeping hobby due to there gorgeous colouration. This article looks at the positives they can bring to the hobby as well as debunking myths about them.

The Fishkeeper

So easy to read the digital format. Reviewed 18 May 2020

The Fishkeeper

I always value the input of authors from various parts of the world which Is why I subscribe in print to Practical Fishkeepting even as a resident of the US because it is only occasionally available in major book chains. This is a great option for info From another region. What I really appreciate Is the coverage of fish and invertebrates not often covered in the US main source TFH and find the layout for the most part better. Reviewed 24 March 2020
