BMW 520i M SPORT

The 5-Series train keeps rolling on – we’re into gen eight now, and it falls on the 520i to open the batting. It’s very impressive too – smooth, quiet and willing despite its not inconsiderable size, the 8spd transmission super slick and the 48V mild hybrid tech well integrated. It hasn’t lost any of its dynamic nous either, just a shame the looks are a touch Marmite and the interior feels overengineered in places. Who needs touch control air vents?
