WELCOME TO PARADISE
Love makes us do extraordinary things, and last week we saw Det Insp Humphrey
Goodman leave behind the best job in the world, swanning around the Caribbean, tackling bad guys, to be with his girlfriend, Martha, in drizzly London. Happy news for Humphrey is, of course, sad news for viewers, as Kris Marshall leaves the hit series after four years in the lead role. Having been anxious about taking over from original star Ben Miller, Kris made the show more popular than ever. He is replaced by Father
Ted and My Hero star Ardal O’Hanlon, who returns as DI Jack Mooney, a widowed cop who jets out to the shack with his daughter, Siobhan, played by newcomer Grace Stone.
