Global logistics firm DHL has expanded its agreement with New York-based Atlas Air to include four additional Boeing 767 Freighters. The US carrier already operates seven examples (five 767-200Fs and two -300Fs) on behalf of DHL Express and will introduce the additional aircraft by January 2015.
Panamanian carrier Copa Airlines has placed a firm order with Boeing for two more 737-800s. The airline, which currently operates almost 70 Next Generation 737s, has also signed a Letter of Intent with an undisclosed third party for the lease of three further examples.
Havana-based Cubana will increase its fleet of Ilyushin Il-96s to four examples after agreeing a deal to acquire former Aeroflot example RA-96008 (c/n 74393201005), according to press reports in Russia. The aircraft has been in open storage at Moscow/Sheremetyevo since the type’s withdrawal in March.
