American Outdoor Guide: Boundless  |  March 2021
Most of the articles in the March, 2021 issue of American Survival Guide relate to the ability and need to get back outside after a long winter hunkered down inside your home, especially for nasty situations when you’d rather not leave its warmth and safety.
The concept of bugging out and having the ability to do so efficiently are parts of the foundation of prepping. Steve Barlow’s piece on bugging out by water, in a canoe or kayak, presents an option you may not have considered before and his review of the 5.11 Tactical RUSH100 describes a scalable backpack that can handle all your bug-out gear and be configured into smaller mission-specific carry options. Reuben Bolieu’s review of several Tuff Possum Gear products fleshes out the other end of the pack size spectrum. Brian Morris’ look at RaptoRazor game processing tools, Dana Benner’s advice about fillet knives and Mike Travis’ analysis of Work Tuff gear knives and stoves are perfectly-timed for this issue. Mike also shared his experience of home-building an AR pistol. If bugging out isn’t a necessity, check out Jim Jeffries’ how-to for building a highly productive and scalable home garden and don’t miss our New Products and Gear Guide sections.
