There’s no denying it shooting a rimfire AR can be a hell of a lot of fun. It’s cheap, there are more shots per penny, and you can even fine-tune your Kentucky windage when reach ing out to 100 yards with the diminutive.22 LR. One problem, however, is invariably the feel of the.22 LR doesn’t mimic a real AR. Usually you must choose a tacti-cool modified 10/22 or a loose polymer replica of an AR. Even the “better” AR-specific.22 LRs like the M&P 15-22 still lack the heft and feel of the.223/5.56 lead slingers.
