The table, with a 17in x 2ft 2in (44 x 67cm) chequered top comprising various hardstones, came in to the Plymouth rooms of Eldreds (20% buyer’s premium) from the nearby home of the late Sir Owen Morshead, who had been Royal Librarian from 1926-58.
