The first annual exhibition at English Antiques, in the small Suffolk market town of Eye, is titled A Taste of the Orient.
Taking place on March 17, the show features a selection of Persian carpets, hearth rugs and runners as well as a selection of Oriental furniture ceramics, screens and decorative objects. Also included is porcelain and decorative objects from China and various bronzes and furniture from Japan.
This pair of Meiji period bronze Japanese vases depicting Samurai (below right), for example, is on offer for £155, while this 19th century Chinese sage’s box with a stand and secret drawer (below left) is offered for £595.
