Among the first sales of BADA 2018 was this modernist Archibald Knox silver and pink enamel inkwell sold from the stand of The Peartree Collection for more than £10,000. Peartree, founded in 2015 by Anthony Bernbaum, was at the fair for the first time.
The event, which takes place at Duke of York Square in Chelsea between March 13-20, is in its 26th year. Dealer Godson & Coles won the event’s best stand award, Elisabeth Lorie of Mary Wise & Grosvenor Antiques won best display, the lighting category went to silver specialists N & I Franklin and best object was won by a George II pietra dura and mahogany cabinet-on-stand from Thomas Coulborn and Sons.
