Only a few examples of the rare four-part British quad poster for the 1965 Bond movie Thunderball exist in uncut form.
The poster, with its four different compartments showing Sean Connery as 007 in action on land, air and sea, features artwork by two different designers: Robert McGinnis, who designed the right-hand panels, and Frank McCarthy who was responsible for the left-hand.
The poster was intended to be cut into two double crown posters by the cinema owners, so an intact survival like this carries a premium. Now mounted on linen, Heritage has estimated it at $10,000-20,000 in the Movie Poster sale on April 7-8.
