MID ARGYLL Wild Swimmers took their coldest plunge of the season in the Sound of Jura, at Dounie, south of Crinan, to protest against plans to site a fish farm there.
Kilmelford-based Kames Fish Farming Ltd has applied for a SEPA licence for 12 circular cages, each 100m in circumference, to rear a maximum of 2,500 tonnes of rainbow trout, which would meet demand, create six jobs and secure other jobs in the family business.
