FIRST came the Vikings, now Picts and Celts are set to take over Lochgilphead’s front green in a festival of living history organised by Lochgilphead Community Council.
The Swords of Dalriada, from Ayr, will be pitching a settlement, reenacting battles and hosting weapon displays.
Add in some weavers, spinners, a jewellery maker, willow weaving, foraging, stone carving, artists, a group creating a roundhouse and a mock archaeological dig, and you have a fascinating insight into Scottish social history.
