Defibrillator training
THE SUDDEN Adult Death Trust (SADS) will be holding defibrillator training at Ballet West on Thursday May 3 at 10am and noon. The training will be carried out by the Scottish Ambulance Service, with Ballet West then planning to install a defibrillator on the premises.
Anne Jolly, founder of SADS UK, said: ‘SADS UK is pleased that Ballet West will benefit from having a defibrillator to restart the heart if there is a cardiac arrest on the premises. ‘Using CPR provides a five per cent chance of survival but early use of the defibrillator as well increases the chance of survival to more than 50 per cent.
